Take time... fan into flame
Pentecost is called the “birth of the Church” because the Holy Spirit transformed the apostles through the sign of a flame imparted on each one of them. Faith and zeal is often represented by fire because it is dynamic. At times, we feel “on fire” with enthusiasm for our faith. At other times, the fire within seems to be reduced to smoldering embers.

Saint Paul wrote to his disciple Timothy (2 Tim 1:6) “I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…” If Saint Paul were speaking today, in our age of electronics, he would probably say: “Keep your batteries charged!”
How? La Salette Retreat Center offers you a variety of Workshops, Days of Recollection and Prayer, and Retreat opportunities to renew and deepen your faith experience. Why feel empty or spent? Stoke those embers into flame. Participate in one or more of these opportunities offered in these pages “to fan the flame of faith and zeal.” Our staff invites you to take the time to recharge your batteries.
