PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Understanding the basic concepts of what happens in the brain of someone with Alzheimer’s disease, and how it differs from other illness. The “Do’s and Don’ts” of dementia care. Tips and strategies when caring for patients. Family members need to hope for the best; but plan for the worst. Caregivers need to learn to care for themselves.
REGISTRATION BEGINS @ 8:30am
PROGRAM: 9:15am - 4:00pm

ABOUT JOHN ROGERS

John has been a licensed social worker for over 30 years and has always worked in long-term care units. For the past 25 years, John has primarily worked with individuals who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, and other related dementias and with their families.
John is currently the director of the Alzheimer care unit at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be brought to the attention of the Retreat Coordinator as soon as possible
to accommodate waiting list. Non-refundable deposits are retained.

La Salette Retreat & Conference Center reserves the right to cancel any program due to the lack of participants.
IF LA SALETTE RETREAT AND CONFERENCE CENTER CANCELS A PROGRAM, ALL FEES WILL BE RETURNED.
