We will assemble in the Chapel to pray the Canticle of the Sun of St. Francis of Assisi, and to explain the practice of “Walking Prayerfully”. We will walk about 30 minutes on the Massachusetts Audubon Trails beside the Retreat House – with prayerful reverence for and attention to the Good Earth, the sun, sky, trees, shrubs, wild flowers, and the sounds of wind, birds, and insects. We will return to the Retreat House to reflect on our experience and to celebrate with the reading of the poem “Pied Beauty” by Gerald Manley Hopkins, sj. In case of rain the program will be postponed to Saturday, October 12th, 2019. Schedule remains the same.
